‘adventure on top striking Lobuche East peak within scenic Khumbu valley and ever trek to Everest base camp’

Lobuche East Peak Trek & Climb, an adventure at above 6,119 m and 20,192 ft high located close to its twin Lobuche West peak, where Lobuche East Peak is popular among climbers and adventure, although the climb leads to high technical effort but can reach its summit top with expert hand and support of Tramping Himalaya Adventures Guides.

Lobuche East Peak Climb, one of the most technical mountains of all trekking peaks of Nepal Himalaya, where climber should be well prepared for the adventurous challenge, having done several basic course on climbing which makes its much easier for this long brave haul up to the summit top of this striking looking Lobuche East Peak.

Starting our adventure from the capital Kathmandu with scenic short flight to land at Lukla airstrip, where our walk begins heading towards Dudh Kosi River past several lovely Sherpa villages with well tended farms of terraces encountering many Mani Walls and rotating bells (Buddhist Prayer monuments).

Walking into enchanting forest covered with tall rhododendron-magnolia-pines and fir tree lines and the climbing high reaching at large village almost a town at Namche Bazaar where busy and colorful Saturday market takes place with grand views of Everest, Ama Dablam and surrounding peaks, here with rest day for acclimatization with time to soak within Sherpa culture of Buddhism religion and heritage.

Walk continues with scenic views along the trail to reach at famed Thyangboche Monastery a place with great beauty with grand views of mountains with Everest and adjoining peaks that surrounds this beautiful spot, as our route leads past green forested areas for complete wilderness at high Khumbu valley to reach Everest base camp and climb of Kalapatthar for panorama of mountains.

After much exercise and getting acclimatized then ready for the Big Climb to the summit of Lobuche East Peak, with few days in tented camps for adventurous climb, the grade is undertaken from French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification at ‘TD’ means “Technical Difficule” requires right attitude and technical skills.

With time at base camp and High camp and then climb leads to the summit with great success facing alluring panorama of mountains that encircles you at the top, then taking a safe descent with walk back to Lukla for scenic flight to Kathmandu with ever-lasting memories of the adventure on Lobuche East Peak Climb with great support and services of Tramping Himalaya Adventurers.

ITINERARY

Detailed Itinerary

On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport received by our staff and guide with warm welcome and greetings and then transfer to your hotels in the heart of Kathmandu city. After checking into your rooms getting refreshed from Jet-Lag, a quiet environment after getting refreshed join at main hall or in lobby where our guide will provide briefing on treks-hotels with necessary information. Evening includes group dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with folk culture program with various dances of Nepal while having your authentic Nepalese dinner with local entertainment.

Early morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for super short flight to land at Lukla, the gateway to many adventures around Khumbu region, where walk starts on gradual winding path past several Sherpa farm villages with views of Kongde and Kusum-Khanguru to reach overnight stop at Phakding, located by the glacial Dudh Kosi River.

Today walk leads to Namche Bazaar gaining altitude as walk progress, morning walk starts following the river and crossing several times to reach at Monjo village near Sagarmatha National Park entrance, from here walking on river valley and gorge covered within nice woodland of tall rhododendron-pines and fir trees. After crossing a high last bridge with few hours climb to Namche Bazaar with stunning views of Everest-Lhotse and Kongde peaks. Namche Bazaar at 3,440 m high an ideal place for rest day to acclimatize, the main town / village of Khumbu where colorful and exciting Saturday market takes place once a week.

Rest day for acclimatization before heading higher terrain, morning after breakfast with options for hike to Everest View Hotel or walk on top of Namche, where you can catch super landscapes scenery with Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam with series of high peaks, here enjoy visiting National Park Museum provides you with much information of Khumbu region, Sherpa history-culture-flora and fauna including detail on mountaineering.

Enjoying pleasant time at Namche, morning walk leads to scenic and gradual walks overlooking Everest and other giant peaks, as our route leads downhill to Imjatse river at Phunki Tenga, a small place with few lodges an ideal spot for refreshing break or lunch stop. From here heading uphill into enchanting alpine forest to reach a beautiful surrounding at Thyangboche Monastery offering grand panorama of mountains with Everest and Ama Dablam at close distance, here with time for tour into monastery and witness monks and priest on prayer. Thyangboche also holds a colorful festival ‘Mani-Rimdu’ monks with mask dancing wading evil spirits which falls in the month of October as per Buddhist lunar calendar.

Morning catching super views of high peaks with Everest, our route descends into forested areas reaching a metal bridge, from here a slow climb encountering mani (prayer) walls along the walks to Pangboche village, this is a last Sherpa permanent village on route to Everest base camp. Other places are temporary settlements with fine lodges to cater the needs of travelers and trekkers, as walk continues heading higher, from here walk leads on barren and arid country where tree lines drops for small bushes of juniper and dwarf rhododendron (azalea). Walking uphill into a river gorge and then finally opens up into a wide glacial valley on reaching Dingboche With many good lodges around facing views of Imjatse or Island peaks towards east

Another rest day for acclimatization on this high elevation a fine place for leisure hike and walks around where a climb up to a hill offers tremendous scenery of peaks with Mt. Makalu towards east horizon. Enjoying scenic excursion with afternoon free to catch up with your dairy and relax marveling the views of Ama Dablam North Face with other giant mountains.

From Dingboche our route leads closer to Everest as walk climbs to a ridge marked with prayer flags and Stupas, then walking on nice gradual uphill facing marvelous scenery to reach at a small place in Thugla where Khumbu glaciers melts into a torrential river. A perfect place for rest and lunch stop, where afternoon walks leads to a steep climb at Thugla hill a place with with many memorials of unfortunate climbers around peaks of Khumbu and Everest. Walk continues for another few hours on nice gradual up to Lobuche for overnight stop, a place with several nice lodge with views of Nuptse and Lobuche peaks

Today a great walk towards our main highlight and final destinations to reach Everest Base Camp, as morning walk leads on open wide valley with slow climb to reach above Khumbu glaciers, walking past moraine dunes reaching at Gorakshep, a place with few lodges on the junction of Everest base camp and Kalapatthar route. Gorakshep an earlier Everest base camp since 1950’s to late 1970’s before the route further about 4-6 k.m. From Gorakshep few hours walk over moraine and glacier to reach our ultimate destination at base camp with sweeping views of giant peaks of Nuptse-Lo la, Nuptse with notorious huge Khumbu Ice Falls and glaciers. In high mountaineering season this place will be active with climbers and crews with many camps set on top of moraine and glaciers. After a grand time then head back to Gorakshep for highest overnight stop of the adventure with fantastic memories of the day walks to Everest base camp.

A tough mountain to tackle as the climb leads to a steep haul; our expert guides will fix ropes where necessary on some tough technical section to reach the eastern summit of Lobuche peak, after a final push reaching on top 6,119 m / 20,192 ft high offers mind blowing views and panorama of mountains around Khumbu valley, certainly makes you feel on top high spirit. Catch the views of Mt. Everest 8,848 m, Lhotse 8,501 m, Mt. Ama Dablam 6,856 m, Mt. Makalu 8, 463 m, Chamlang and Baruntse peaks in the far distance, after an adventure of a life time experience and then descend on same route to base camp have a lunch then continue trek to Thukla for overnight.

Trek down hill to Pangboche via  Pheriche windy valley with nice pleasant walk. From Pherichewalk continues with super views of Ama Dablam, Nuptsewall, Lhotse, and then heading downhill and back into lower altitude within tree lines, as the walk leads to our overnight stop in Pangbochevillage.

After completing an adventure of a lifetime on top Island and Imjatse peak, walk leads towards Chhukung and then on the trail to Pangboche and beyond past Dingboche, as walk leads on the same route with downhill to Imjatse River and then climb to Thyangboche Monastery back into green vegetation and tree lines, a beautiful surrounding offering grand panorama of mountains with Everest and Ama Dablam at close distance, here with time for tour into monastery and witness monks and priest on prayer. Thyangboche also holds a colorful festival ‘Mani-Rimdu’ monks with mask dancing wading evil spirits which falls in the month of October as per Buddhist lunar calendar. With time here with scenic views, head downhill to Phunki Tenga and climb for an hour to reach a small place at Kyanjinma for overnight stop, which is on route Namche, a pleasant spot facing views of Everest-Ama Dablam and Tharmasarku with other range of peaks. Here chances of spotting some wild-life like musk deer, herd of Himalayan Thar and pheasant Danfe (national bird of Nepal).

Morning with last day trek of this marvelous adventure leads on same scenic trail to Phakding following Dudh Kosi River downstream, from here a pleasant walk with few short ups and down to Choplung village, where an hour climb brings you back at Lukla for lunch and overnight stop. In Lukla celebrate last night dinner among fellow trekkers, guides and porters after a fantastic time on top Lobuche East Peak with Everest base camp trekking.
